3.1. The coverThe cover shows a portrait of Oldfield behind a glass window. It seems to be raining on the window. Water is running down it. Oldfield is looking out at something. The color is blue-green. I get thoughts of loneliness, seeking, a bit melancholy. The back is a blue-green surface. To me the cover expresses a mood, which helps give the music more meaning. There's also pictures on the inner sleeve. It's a black and white picture of Oldfield sitting alone in a naked nature. Under it are information about which instruments were played and who are playing on the album, where it was recorded and so on. The back of the inner sleeve is a picture of all those who participated on "Ommadawn" under a tree in rural surroundings, probably near Oldfield's then home in Gloucester.
